My name is Miriam Alonso and I am the founder of Lavender Recruitment Ltd. I studied a BA (Hons) in Education Studies and gained QTS in 2008. Since then I have clocked up years of experience in the education sector including teaching in Early Years, SEN and tutoring.​ In addition, I have served as an Early Years Leader, guiding teams to provide high-quality learning experiences for young children.
As an Early Years professional, I strongly believe that all children thrive when they are loved and well cared for and all the staff working with children play a crucial role in many children's lives. They develop attachments with the children they care for, looking after their daily needs and education. Children with strong early attachments cry less when separated. They engage in more pretend play and sustain attention for longer. They are popular with other children and with adults. Their sense of who they are is strong. They are vulnerable but will develop resilience when their physical and psychological well-being is protected by an adult. Being emotionally attached to such an adult helps the child feel secure that the person they depend on is there for them. When children feel safe they are more inclined to try things out and be more independent. They are confident to express their ideas and feelings and feel good about themselves. Attachment influences a child’s immediate all-round development and future relationships.

Children have always been a huge part of my life. As a teacher, my work provided me with invaluable experience in education and child development to effectively and professionally assist families and schools with one of the most important decisions they have to make - finding reliable and trustworthy staff to educate and care for their children.
